It was only when we got back home Istarted to think a bit more about it. I found out it was a 1950's Opel Rekord. It's nickname is the "Shark Jaw" Opel for obvious reasons.
I delved a bit deeper and found I could get it from Athens to Southampton without too much bother and the cost would be around £500. The problem was getting it from Samos to Athens and also I had no idea who actually owned it.
Restored it would have been worth about £10k and funnily although not a lot were produced spares are still available.
It never happened as I was persuaded to start another mini. that's when I got the Greenie and lost my senses.
