Santa brought me a nice gift today a Tamiya Rover Mini Cooper racing Radio Control.

Can't wait to start building it already ordered some uprated shox and bearing for it, another project for me. lol.

I was thinking of building a replica 1:1 scale think it would be fun to see and drive, but on 5x10's????

the best upgrade youll ever get for it is a relitivly low turn motor (12 turn would suit nicely), an ESC to suit and also a good high mili amp battery to power it all....

the lower the turn of motor the faster it is... i used to run a 12 turn in my old tamiya and it managed to hit 35 on a good day:P

be careful with the plastic diffs tho... they have a tendancy to shred if your not careful:D

Thats well cool....!! love the decals down the side and regplate.

I thinking of building the other way round a replica of the blue tamiya racer thay also do it in red so may paint it red, I ve also got some stipe decals from Paddy Hopkirks Monte Carlo rally car, from the late Stephen Smith, as seen in "The last Works Minis" I also have a few other stickers from L33 EJB so I will have them copied as I dont want to use my oridginals.

You can get the basic kit from ebay. around 69.99 then you need transmitter and few other bits.

I think the real thing is going to cost me around 5 grand inc the donar mini I have.

www.modelsportuk.com

when i was heavily into rc i used them for everything... but check prices on ebay first... theyre sometimes cheaper...

as for trany's to use you would first need to know what kind you like... analogue or trigger type...

unless your racing or using multiple models... a good quality yet basic model will do nicely...
allthough i have heard some good things about these: http://www.modelspor...mp;ItemID=28015
they are very well spec'd considering the price.
