Looks like a custom bodykit/grille lights etc, so not standard.

well he says its got a bodykit so its either part of the bodykit of its a homemade thing, ive never seen it before :)

Pretty sure thats modified.

Although saying that there was another car with a Mini shaped front with square lights :)

There is another Mini around with square lights but they are a different style and also modified (can't remember the specific conversion though)

Im sure I seen something like that in january's MiniWorld, I'll go have a look.

Edit: If you look on page 9 there is a Mini with similar, if not the same lights and it says its a wood+Picket conversion

A few coachwork companies did this. Ringo starr drove a square headlamp mini for about 2 years.

Wood and picket made a nice one, the original Margrave, although it was more based on the clubman the headlamps are definatly alot "squarer". They did do one alot like Juju's one using a mercedes conversion ive got pictures somewhere. GC minis have one for sale on Pistonheads right now.

Certainly a modification, here's one of the original rectangular headlight conversions, the MiniSprint estate, from 1966.

There are definatly a few clever dickies on here... :) (that IS still an endearing word isn't it? I remember my gran saying it)

Anyway, Wasn't radford another coachworky place that did them? I think i have a picture from beaulieu...hmm
