the 68' mini he done was in like 2002...and he made a pretty poor job of it too to be honest. when he tried to sell it to an enthusiast, he was like ''this is the A-frame which we replaced, and its called an A frame because it looks like an A'', the enthusiast was like ''erm ok'' tho a frame pi**es me off...its A-panel u spanner!! and when he bought it he was sayin...''oh my god! this doors full of filler...we need to replace that because it would take the worlds supply of filler to straighten it out''. then when they came to it, they decided a new door was too expensive and instead said ''so we will filler it properly this time, and whacked a good few tubs on. sorry, but if i had a mk1, there wouldnt be an ounce of filler on it...if there was a dent in the door it would be replaced, no question.

basically he was talkin out his rear. i havent watched the one they vinyl wrapped and flogged at imm...but i'm dreading it!!

(anyone know when its on by the way? i want to have a good laugh)

oh, and the reason he got it so cheap is because mini's have inflated massively int he run up to mini 50, they should hopefully drop back down to realistic levels soon. :P saying that, we could all be in the money if they keep appreciating at the rate the are!!

As they get more sparse then yes but if they go out of fashion then they might decline in price.

i'm no economics expert, but i predict they will go down sharply next year, but not by much, because the whole hype of mini 50 has gone, then slowly appreciate as they grow older and more rare.

The Vans, pickups etc will stay up in value as they get to their 50th year but the normal shaped minis will drop in value i think.

I also think that in about 5 - 7 years the clubmans will become sort after because they'll be coming up to 50th in 2019.

Just my predictions no facts :P

I would add in the mk1's with the pick-ups and vans also but yes I think you are right. I can see the Rover production Minis coming down in value.
