Hi all,

Going to treat myself to some new wheels for my project and really like the ultralite matt black with red pinstripe wheels on minisport

http://www.minisport..._SPDML1PBR.html

But im not too sure if they would look right on a racing green mini - has anyone got any pictures?

Also what is the diirence between superlites and ultralites?

Many thanks,

Martin

black covers up brake dust and saves cleaning them as often :D

yes thats true - I hate cleaning wheels, they seem to make them so you can't get to all the creases easily.

personally i think silver of some description would look best with a racing green. dark colour, light wheels. light colour, dark wheels.

up to you though!

Thanks for the pictures, nice mini.

I originally planned to get silver superlites but after seeing those black ultralites im kinda stuck.

Does anyone know what the difference is between superlite and ultralite as they look identical to me?

Just two different companies who both produce Minilite replicas. Both are supposed to be pretty good quality; I've got a set of Ultralites which are very nice.

Black wheels could look good on your car if there isn't too much white already - if it's got white bonnet stripes it might look a bit funny.

Thanks all for your help.

I have just got a white roof and wing mirrors and the rest is green.

Silver does looks very nice with green but then not many people have black wheels so think it will make it diffrent from the rest.

I hate hard decisions and im not very colour coordinated lol which does not help!

If anyone has more pictures, especially minis with those matt black ultralites with red pinstripe it would be much appreciated.

Would it look better if i sprayed the red pinstripe green?

Thanks once again for your help and pictures so far,

Martin

Thanks Andrew - that looks like similar to my mini but without the sportspack arches. I have the wood and picket arches which i think are 2 1/2".

Now your tempting me to go with bigger wheels - they look right for the car. Im not keen on cutting the bodywork for the arches tho.

I'm going to phone minisport and see if i could exchange them if i dont like them and dont use them. I think thats the only way to decide lol!

Hi again,

Minisport says i cannot exchange once they put the tyre on which is fair enough so got to decide before i buy.

I have spent a while on photoshop as i have never used it before and managed to put the black ultralites on emalee's mini above (hope you don't mind).

What are your opinions? the ultralites are 12X5 in the picture but im going to get the 12x5.5 ones so not sure if they will be noticeably different.

Do they go with green car?
