I'm just about to start a custom dash project and I'll need to move the rev counter. i.e. separate it from the circuit board. Did you manage to get it working?

Have you cut the passenger side part away and brought it forward?

yeah i cut around the main part of the clocks/switches and sunk that whole section in about 2", if that makes sense, pop rivets hold it together and plastic weld all the joints

Haha, just did the same thing a few weeks ago, back before uni started up again. have you got anymore pictures, like side on ones to see how different it looks?

I think you have to bring it forward, that massive drop-off on the standard one looks weird!

Coolio, thanks for that. You plastic welding it? I'm using it as a base to work off of, so I'm fibreglassing to make a truly custom job!

What plastic welding or using fibreglass?

Plastic welding is exactly as it sounds, whilst i'll layer fibreglass, different grades of sheet, sand it down and then cover it with flock. f/g would need to be really good just to paint it over. and i dont think im that good!
