hi guys. i've been on the look out for a cheaper alternative for the coolant temperature sensor (inlet manifold mounted one), not the air temp. just to be clear. they all seem to be around £40 on mini specific sites. So far i have found this one click its not the LUCAS 73246 or ROVER ADU7161 but is a replacement for.

soooooo......... in theorie it should work? could some one comfirm this?

I bought one for ~£10 from the well-stocked Stockwell Motors in London ... http://www.stockwell...ockwell_london/ they might send you one and take payment over the phone... they found the piece based on my number plate too...

It's a solid one piece.. not two separate pieces like that on the eBay site... but it's working just the same.. although the two parts slide, when tightened into the manifold they lock together so acting pretty much as one piece anyway...

still .. the ebay one looks like my old one... and slightly cheaper than a new one.. so if anyone is searching for Coolant Temperature Sensor and there's none on eBay ... try Stockwell..
