Ah fair enough :D
Yeah sw10 idle could be interesting...

What was your final spec pete and what was it like to drive?

Naa SW10 is fine (Well apparently its a hell of a thud around 5000 rpm), I think you'll find with your mappable ignition you will iron out most of the lumpiness! the only issue I was thinking is that with an 87 shell, I don't know the rules on emissions, but again the ignition timing should help you there!

Morspeed MSPD Trackday cam that i am getting from a friend.
Duration is 270 on Both but the lift is 0.315 on inlet and 0.311 exhaust Power band from 1800 up
Valve lift (inlet/exhaust)
1.25 0.394 0.389
1.3 0.409 0.404
1.5 0.472 0.467
1.7 0.535 0.529

And the SW10 has a duration of 280 on both but the lift is only 0.291 on the inlet and exhaust. Power band is 1800k up
Valve lift (inlet/exhaust)
1.25 0.364 0.364
1.3 0.378 0.378
1.5 0.436 0.436
1.7 00.495 0.495

So yeah the SW10 has duration of 10 longer but the Trackday cam has a much better lift. I think in a small bore this will be much better and produce better figures?

Thougts are VERY welcome and much needed :withstupid:

Possibly, but I doubt the extra lift will equate to much due to size of the bore it wont need all that lift to fill the low litreage, where as duration helps more to fill the bores with air fuel mix as efficiently as possible using what i like to call the inertia effect.

Where did you get those SW10 figures? I've never seen figures for the SW10-07 only the older SW10....

maximum for driveability, but im not going for that, as long as you can rev it high enough its fine to goto 286, in fact i think Vizard even suggests it on all out 998 motors.

Nice linkage, i like that style they give an excellent firmness to the accelerator pedal.

I cant wait to get my engine so i can start going OCD with the neatness.

I'm sure you are but I hope you're going to be as neat with the engine wiring.
