Sure am having neat wiring, Iv got a Hotrod building friend that is going to wire it... a bit of a master at hiding wires :genius:

Diff sent back to minispares :) was machined wrong.

Well its still to be confirmed by Minispares, but it looks like to me that the planet gears have been machined wrong. As they dont mesh with the output gears very well, and bind up :) making it almost impossible to turn.

I tried it with new fibre washers and the old ones and then tried them out of the box in my hand and it just wasnt right.

I know this is a fresh batch of diffs, so maybe a problem?

But like I said, still to be confirmed by minispares.

On a lighter note, I received some beautiful gearbox to block bolts from USA and am going to collect all my sandblasted casings next week :P

The previous owner had sanded down the outer surface with a coarse sandpaper and painted them black, so its taken quite awhile to get all the black off and then flat sanding them down to get rid of the scratches, one done though :thumbsup:

As you can see they have been lightened quite a bit on the backs too. Im not sure what colour to have them re-anosized yet.

More engine work soon..

Yup, the ones from madminidesigns.. same bloke that makes the alloy front plates. They are really nice! Hes putting together a kit to do the diff housing too :)


Those wheels are amazing - What width are they and how deep is that dish?!


They are 10 x 7's with 3 1/2 inch dish :)

Also collected all of the engine casings afew days ago from being sand blasted, very nice and clean, and going to collect the gearbox casing Monday, then Il get them powdercoated clear.

Just waiting on that and then I can build up the box.

mspd P3 trackday cam.....brilliant camshaft, i couldent fault it in my engine!

Was that 1275 though. Im going to put it in a 998 :D
