On a lighter note, I received some beautiful gearbox to block bolts from USA and am going to collect all my sandblasted casings next week :P

Ebay jobby? with the bolts? cause i got some nice ones off ebay allen key head ones

Yup, the ones from madminidesigns.. same bloke that makes the alloy front plates. They are really nice! Hes putting together a kit to do the diff housing too :ermm:

Those wheels are amazing - What width are they and how deep is that dish?!

They are 10 x 7's with 3 1/2 inch dish ;)

Ben

Lol thanks very much, it taken a long time to get to this stage. I havnt posted a picture of the car yet because its just a bare shell, Iv got afew bits to do to it and then its visiting Mintec for some welding magic! I wanted to take it there about 2 years ago, but it just hasnt moved as quickly as I expected, so all going well it will be going there within afew months.

Different is always nice. As long as it looks smart and has a good power/weight ratio Im happy :ermm:.

Well.. It's got a Evo diff with a 3.44cw, a swifty layshaft and a central pick up pipe. Other than that it's a standard helical box with all the bearings replaced.

Ben ! Nice build ! alot of man hours for the carbon earns you man points ;D

im aiming for the same sort of spec as you in my pup, are you using standard rods ? just been balanced ? lightened ?

how much is the bill so far ? if you dont mind me asking?

i have been contemplating doing it myself, getting either Bill Richards, or swiftune to build it..........

This is awesome ben! first time ive seen it. Love all the carbon bits on the engine, thell probably be stronger than the original bits as well as looking fantastic!

Cant wait to see what power it makes, should be a hell of a lot of fun!

Turns out the cylinder head I have has too bigger chambers so it has lowered the compression ratio too low to make good power :( Block is for sale to fund a set of Omega pistons for a 1380 build instead.
