What's the big carbon bit next to your crank pulley in the top bit? With the red/white wires?

The Lump of Carbon is a brake light/Rain light Iv made...

Also.. the black pulley is an oversized pulley for the alternator, not crank pully.. just so I dont burn out the alternator when reving
I plan on making my own gasket for the tappet chest covers and then just using some gasket sealant
Il take some more pictures tonight with the light working, its bright!! Its designed to sit on the parcel shelf.

Ah they are the Minispares tubular versions, £8 each... but nice, light and straight
The Crank timing gear was machined down on Monday and fits perfectly now, so I will be doing the timing this weekend when the F1 is on

Nice one, i'll check em out.
George, denso alternators are pretty much commonplace on 90s jap cars. You can get them new from most alternator suppliers if you know what car to look for. I believe the one i have came from a diahatsu, but also they were on toyotas and some others of that era. Saves buying the same thing from Brise for twice the price!!
