After deciding i was going for the bareshell interior look i'm now going round the whole car finding those awful rattles, vibrations, even knocks.
I'm now getting an OCD with rattles. Is anyone else?? Even getting in a friends mini i heard rattles and have to find them.
So far i have tie wrapped the inside door opening strutts?? (go along the top of the door on the inside, you get what i mean). So now when i close the door it's more of a satisfying clunk then a bone rattle.
Had a good one on an aftermarket fusebox, which was really annoying.
I have yet to sound proof on the roof yet as that sounds like an airplane taking off at certain revs, lol.
I'm sure i still have one behind my centre speedo i have yet to find.
Anyone else have annoying rattles they couldn't find for a while or similar??

Dont really know what its called but "edge finishing rubber strip" its a good start.
Use it on the vertical window rail, that will get rid of the window vibrating

I had a rear shock top mount nut come lose once, dead chuffed when I found it as that drove me mad.
I announced my sucess to the wife following a test drive and she jumped in for a spin round the block.
"I thought you had cured the rattle" she said.
"I have" I stated.
"It still rattles" she replied.
"Thats an old rattle" I said. "It was the new one that was bugging me, the old ones don't matter"

Had one that bugged me for ages. Only heard itwhen going over big bumps or slamming the passenger door.
So......... After about ten minutes and 50 slams found it to be the passenger side brake dust cover. Still loadsmore little rattles, but that's another reasonfor an obnoxious exhaust

the tappets/rockers drive me mad. sometimes they are clinking away, and other times perfectly quiet (well.... normal). can't seem to set them right :S
