Ive been scanning back over my miniworld magazines and saw noticed this one again in the july mag. LINK!!!! ive noticed that on the front bonnet it has 5 holes at the front of the bonnet.

i only want two on the front but how would you say would be the best way to fabricate this?

In addition i would like to know also, having holes in the bonnet, could it effect the engine by water gettin in or is it safe?

Cheers

Lewis

Hole saw would be your best bet.

I don't think it would effect anything as theres such a vast space open with the grill.

I think the reason people have holes there is because thats where they mount the inter cooler, air from the grill would not have any effect with it in that position so the holes are needed.

They wouldnt have any effect on the cooling, and i wouldn't have thought they would effect anything else unless there were some other problems with the electrics. but its not like the open grill wouldn't cause problems with dodgy electrics anyway.

How about one of these, used on many cars to let air in, and fit a mini bonnet great

Yeah, the holes arent for intercooling, its just i like the look and at the moment i want to get the mini looking how i want before i set on changing it mechanically. sort of doing it the wrong way but i like my strange methods.....

Yeah, was thinking a hole saw. have a set in my garage at the moment but im not 100% if is for metal.

I do however love that little bonnet vent. probably look a better finish aswell. how would you fit one of those???

I may photoshop both of them onto my mini and then start a poll to see what everyone else thinks if im unsure.

cheers guys aswell for the responses
