No - but Cooper models had the larger carb - and you say yours is Cooper! If in doubt - measure the hole on the engine side - should be 1.75" (close approx to 44mm). What happened to the inlet manifold ??

not really sure, the 2 bits that stick out each side are completly rottern, not sure what there for, pretty new at this and wating for a good book to help me do it, also what do you think of the lcb exhausts? not looking to modify but restore, but the system looks quite good , cheers nick

2 bits that stick out each side? If its 2 pieces of pipe out of the inlet then its for the water heated manifold. No need to replace the carb.

Just look on ebay for an MG metro inlet, best one around for a HIF44

to be honest thats what i thought they were for, but on my engine the pipes to these are non existant, if there is ment to be pipes to these. i will look at the new inlet manifold thanks. my engine seams to have had one of the water pipes come off the top off the engine, because all the nice brown water has gone all over my engine lol, brought it like that, had been fixed with 22mm copper pipe and jubilie clips lol, probably why some pipes could be missing, cheers nick
