Haha ALEX!!
I have got the original locking cap. It just fits over it and then the litte screws just attatch to the side of the original filler cap neck. Then you just push the button down it flys open ... then you can get to the locking bit
easy peasy!
if you are still stuck then keep asking, i will get some more pictures if you like 2moz?

Alex - yes - the Monza cap is just a pretty cover for your "real" fuel cap. It doesn't lock, it doesn't seal your
fuel tank - it just looks good and it's fun to flick it open at the pump. It's 100% bling and serves no other function.
A good seal on your fuel tank is important and a locking cap is more or less essential - shouldn't set you back more
then a couple of quid from all the standard places. Get yourself an everyday locking cap and put the Monza on the filler
neck to look funky.
Or maybe go for a "classic" dome job like THIS.
to kill two birds with one stone.
Best wishes

just remove the filler cap you have at the moment, place the monza style over the filler cavity, then pop your locking filler cap back on and then position the monza style filler cap and then tighten the little screw things.
honestly its a breeze. i think when you have it in your hands and you have all the bits for it its alot easier to understand and see how it fits.

My mate who also has a mini thought i was being stupid and also tried - no luck.
Basically the filler neck is not long enough for the cap to sit on and allen key tight. He suggested i undo the tank to try and reposition the neck - then tighten back up.
Has anyone else had this problem?
