at the start of all this i fitted a fusion reactor sub & amp kit. straight away it started eating the battery power (although i think it was due to be replaced anyway) then had the car overheat and spray coolant all over the engine bay. got the cars coolant system sorted. drove to work. drove back and half way home my indicators stopped working. the reverse light. hazard light switch/relay popped. and the heated rear screen switch isnt working and the dash lights decide to just turn off whenever they please. i quickly checked the fuses and they're fine. but im wondering if fitting the sub has caused any of this. or if coolant drenching the engine bay may have shorted something out, even though it worked most the day? im completley baffled.

My first port of call would be the fusebox and the in-line fuses behind the air filter housing. Check for corrosion/security of the wires and terminals. Also if possible unscrew the fusebox from the bulkhead and examine the contacts on the back for corrosion. If you have any doubts about it, change it. I can see how the fitting of the sub could have affected anything as all the amp wiring would be at the rear of the car, apart from the rca's and remote wire.

Did you just wire the amp to an ignition fed live? you could have overloaded & melted the ignition switch . also check the contacts on the solenoid.

amp is wired straight to the battery. the only wire coming from the sub and amp go to the head unit. all the sound system work fine. its just everything else thats gone abit dodgy. im buying a new battery tomorrow to start as the old one is completely dead. but will check all the wiring to and from the fuse as soon as i get time between shifts at work
