Hi Guys I Tryed To Get My Car Booked Into My Local Garage to get this sorted but its jam packed with winter bloomers so im going to see if i can sort it myself.

my car has a 1300 metro engine in it and bassically i think theres a carbing issue when i accelerate i sometimes lose all power and the car goes to cut out the car also seems like it has no power. i used to have a 998 mini that seemed alot quicker then this.

i adjusted the carb a little to stop it cutting out while idle because it was doing that before and now i have im having more problems.

the car also back fires but since adjusting the carb it seems to do it less but when it does backfire the carb makes a *pop* noise and if your looking in the engine bay when it does it it pops fire out the air filter.

somethings i have noticed are that i can hear alot of air being sucked in through the air filter but i cant work out how to adjust the air on the carb

aswell the solenoid that is attached to the wing seems lose how tight should it be???

any help would be welcome cheers guys

sounds simply like it needs timing up and the carb adjusting right . The backfiring / fire at the air filter shows its overfueling way too much and needs the mixture adjusting correctly . I would recommend taking it to a garage or getting someone who knows how to pop over , show you the basics over a cup of tea !!!!
