Hiya,

I have been doing some body work on the front of my ERA. To do so I've removed the front bodykit so have decided to replace the front subframe teardrop bushes as it's almost impossible to replace them with the kit on. As I want them to last a long time I bought some Duflex poly bushes from mini sport which look exactly the same as all the others I've seen. They were a real pain to fit as they are physically thicker than the originals and as a result the top bolt no long fits as its not long enough and to add to that I had to find some large washers as without them the bush would be useless. I had to use the bottom bolt and fit it in the top and obtain a new bolt for the bottom.

I just wondered if anyone else has fitted these bushes and had the same problems. It annoys me when you pay good money for parts and have to fiddle about with them to get a proper safe fit. Wish I had just gone with genuine original bushes now.

I've not had any expericance witht them, but I'm really glad you posted this. I'm about to renew the front subframe mounts and was going to use poly teardrops and solid tower and rear mounts. But now I'll stick with the standard front ones, so thanks.
And I'd be upset too.

i tryed them, thery're the worts thing you can fit as subframe mountings. Tricky to fit due to they're thickness and way too soft, after a bit of spiritated driving, they start to squeeek all around.
Use standard teardrops.
