I've got the DEI Titanium on mine, you dont need to wet it to wrap it, dont need to wear gloves as its not glass fibre, didnt smoke when first heated, looks great (IMO - see my build thread). I am using it more to reduce engine bay temps than aid exhaust scavenging, hence why I wrapped two header pipes at once.

If money no issue then go for ceramic coating - defo the best way.....

went down to the autosport show today and bought a roll of the dei titanium stuff 50 foot x 2 inch £40, so i will fit it the mora, i also ordered an airbox from demon *melons* so i shud get that next week, yee ha keep the goodies coming !!! there was loads of goodies at the autosport show. v8 hayabusa turbo busa's mmmmmmm i wish i was loaded

pipercross 600 series with 100mm intake from demon *melons*!!

The show wasnt bad, but i can see it getting worse as the years have been going on as ive been going for the past 5 years and i wont be going back for a few years. not that many trade stands, which is the main reason i go to the shows, but overall it wasnt too bad, 650 mile round trip for me so didnt feel it was worth the drive

Hey Ed

If those hose clips you've used are stainless they will colour up nicely to the same colour as the wrap once you get some serious heat in it.

Spray on ceramic coating but probably costs a bomb!!

thought about this bout can they spray exhausts that have been used?

Ed

Just for the record yes they can, the give it a light shot blast prior to coating. I think they usually do this even its not been run. The only thing they cant do it coat the inside if its been run. I personally think coating the inside is a bit overkill but obviously some people want it or they wouldn't do it.

Ive had good results from the folks at Zircotec, i could touch the exhausts only a few minutes after it came in after some hot laps.

Matt
