Could it be 71.37mm?

That would be a +.30" overbore size  (gives about 1301cc). But you might struggle to find +.30 piston rings, it's a (nowadays) uncommon size and not produced anymore. I was told it's not impossible to fit shortened +.40 rings, though. :)

Standard bore for a 1275 is 2.78" or 70.612mm

You then get factory oversizes which are +0.020", +0.030", +0.040" and +0.060"

In terms of bore diameters 71.34 is absolutely no where near 70.612, and not even close to any of the standard overbore sizes..

Edit *finger trouble on calculator*... could be a +30 ( as above )

it dose say on the piston +.03 (i think) on the other side of the piston which i only just noticed. so it could be like you say 1301cc?
it came out of a 1275 gt if its any diffrent?

so it could be a decent engine then?!

thanks for your help guys :)

If it's in good nic - but the +30 makes absolutely no difference! Don't get excited about that.
