looks fab, love the colour, the wheels work really well, ill bet you're pleased big thumbs up from me!
Thanks Ed means a lot. yeah i'm absolutely chuffed to bits. Really happy with the way everything's come together.
On to the next part of getting all the extra bits and bobs now
Noooooo the mk2 lights look so much better then mk1 lights. Plus the mk2 one give out more light so its easier to see if the dark. Just my 2 cents. By the way what have you doen to your bonnet? It that black bit painted if is it a vinyl stickier thing?
Still not sure on the lights, personally i love mk1 lights although the mk2 ones are gorgeous too. Will have to see, it's a way in the future so bound to change my mind a few times between now and then.
The bonnet is painted black at the front with stick on letters that i painted white. I originally painted the front white masked the letters off and painted it black, but i wasn't happy with it so sanded it back and did it this way
I'm sure you've seen, Ed has a similar bonnet on the bean which was painted black then masked the bonnet and cut the letters out and sprayed white to give the reg.
Not sure how it was done originally on 33 EJB but from photos i've seen i'm pretty sure at least the black was painted on not sure about the letters.

When i got back had a look at the ride height which was a bit lop sided it's sitting a bit better now.
Also adjusted the rear drums and handbrake which seems to have helped a lot the hand brake actuallyt works properly now which is nice. Fitted my new steering wheel aswell absolutely love it feels a lot nicer than the old one aswell which is good.
Will get some pictures of the interior as it stands soon.
Seems to be going quite well not really tested everything out much taking it a bit easy till i get it all set up properly.
I can say however that the ride is so much smoother now than it was before.
The brakes obviously need some time to bed in to get the most out of them not got a huge amount of feel on the pedal at the moment though so might give them another bleed to make sure there is no air in the system anywhere.
Also i really need to get and give him a proper clean and polish the paint up hopefully get time to do that before the weekend

in terms of the numberplate, i wish i had bought stick on letters... but it didnt look too bad painted, i would say that 33 EJB's would of been painted on....

I prefer mk2's too... mk1's would suit yours well though...

A lot of votes for sticking with the mk2 lights, will have to see i do love them.
From the pictures yours seemed to come out pretty well i thought. I think using the stick on ones makes it a lot easier though.
Yeah i think you're right about 33 EJB.
Today i sorted the idle and mixture. It was idling ridiculously low but all sorted now.
Also picked up a new fan belt this evening that i will be fitting tomorrow. Will give the paint a polish back aswell and hopefully a clean

Must've been in a world of my own as i can't remember seeing a van with stickers.
Will keep my eyes peeled from now on.

Thanks again mate really happy with how it's come together just need to get it all set up properly and give it a proper clean an polish up.
How's the engine build going? Any luck working out what was causing the pistons to sit oddly?

Seems a bit odd about the engine, definitely good that you spotted it.
Hopefully they'll be able to find the source of the problem and sort it.
Will be interesting to see what it turns out to be down to.

Got to try and get rid of the marks that the masking tape has left and cut the paint back and wash and polish it all before work tomorrow at one, oh and make sure the ride height is set right as i'm having my geometry set up and corner weighting done on sunday.
Hopefully i'll have time to get some pictures of it looking nice and clean as well

Do/did you know Mark Steer? I rekon he used to work for your halfords store. I work part time at one of the Coventry stores.
Keep up the work
