Right well it's been an eventful couple of days,
Yesterday I went to northampton to see Dave 'Icklemini' to get my corner weighting and geometry set up.
Left home at six in the morning, three hours and a tank of fuel later and i arrived at Daves garage.
Firstly we lifted hime up and set the rear a bit higher as it was sitting rather low compared to the fronts.
This turned out to be a good decision as when we put the car down on the scales it was reading pretty much spot on.
A bit of settling and some calulations and it turned out it needed no adjustment

which was really surprising, but saved a lot of time. Next we started on the rears setting the toe and camber each side. Unfortunately this brought up a fairly nasty surprise as both of the rear wheels were still toeing out at the end of their adjustment. Dave thought this was probably down to the radius arms rather than anything else, so a new set of radius arms are on the agenda. Anyway Dave set the toe on each wheel to the end of its adjustment and dialed in 0.5 degrees of camber. With the rears done he moved on to the fronts setting the caster and camber angles to get to good values for both with the wheel sitting in the arch a bit better. Happy days. Next was four wheel allignment where the front toe gets set. After that it was out for a quick test drive which was great even with uneven rears the result Dave has got is fantastic. Can't recommend his work highly enough, top bloke.
Then it was off home another three hours one stop and some fun roundabouts later and i got home.
Just as i arrived back my lights stopped working, which typically was the connections at the fusebox and easily sorted.
Here are some pictures from the day.

As i said i'm very happy with the results. Bit gutted about the radius arms, am really considering putting a new genuine subby on too as i think mine is a pattern affair. Reason being I'm worried that i'll replace the radius arms and end up with the problem still persisting. Although that will come out of money that i was going to spend on other things, I think it's probably worth doing though.
On to today then, had a bit of a tinker this morning as my high beam and flasher stalk has lost ony spring and keeps putting the high beam on on its own turns out the plastic that latch has broken so will have to order a new one. The indicator works still and if insulated the connection to stop the high beam coming on all of the time. After this i decided to go out for a drive, then met up with some friends and went and took a couple of photos. Soon after the two brackets holding my back box on decided to break, and rip off simultaneously leaving the exhaust behind. So after a rather loud crawl home i did a bit of inspection, and no wonder they came off, it looked like the previous owner had mooved them and "welded" them back on in different places, one bracket had a large unneccesary hole throught it aswell. So i got rid of the remnants of the old bracket and made a new one, fitted the exhaust, tacked the brackets in the right places, took the exhaust back off welded the brackets on properly and gave them a lick of paint, should be ready to pop back on tomorrow morning before uni.
Anyway here are a couple of pictures.
