There is only one other, but I wouldnt call it plug and play as you still have to modify the hardware on the engine. That would be CANEMS, but i have nit heard mouch of them in the last year.
what about the Emerald K3 ECU?

What exactly are you trying to do, as there are many ways to achieve similar results, but they differ in the way they achieve it. Megasquirt is currently the only system that can control a standard MPi injection manifold with good results.

You have put aside the only real option for port injection on a five port head and that is Megasquirt, the only other that is somewhere near is CANEMS. Polestar reckon they can, but I have not seen any evidence, and Emerald will only give you Throttle body injection which is a complete new inlet system.

at the moment i haven't discarded anything. i haven't yet decided what to do with the engine. im probably going to leave the engine n/a but was considering the option of supercharging. at this stage im just assessing the costs and benefits of everything, with bias being toward power and reliability

What about the UMS? is that just for SPi's?

You don't have to build MS yourself:aside from the build it yourself option of the MS system are there any decent plug 'n' play mapable systems for the mpi's yet? just trying to get some facts and figures. any help/advice welcome thanks
