hi guys well its been a while and my mini is more or less ready for the business end of things.

all the panels are welded up lookin good no rust at all, all ready for respray but i wna do the messy mechanical work 1st and bodyshop last.

so does anyone know where is best to buy the vtec conversion kit for a B series engine? ive seen the Z cars one and that costs a bloody fortune tho. im after about 180-200bhp so ile be going with a b16a2 and maybe adding a turbo or something on low boost if i want a bit more oomph later on we will see.

also i rly want to retain the standard front panels? can this be done as i dnt wna fork out loads for fibreglass flip fronts etc. the car itself is a G reg mini mayfair.

any input would be awesome. thanks.

EDIT: sorry just notcied that the Z cars one is a total custom made rear engined RWD thing. im after 200bhp, B16a2 and fwd with stock body lol. apologies.

Z cars make a top job all built etc.
others may well have half the things you need missing, and the standard of workmanship is not the same.

that minimania part looks good as well and of course not like some of the gardenshed productions

Allspeed, or Watsons frame are your best bet, unless you are in the US then go for the Mini Mania kit.

Seen it done a few times and I have to say the quality is pretty top notch.
