Well after a whole week and a half of Thug being my daily driver again after the corsa has thrown yet another wobble, I go to start Thug on saturday morning to get some wiring bits for her spots and nothing..
but a click from the starter relay was my thinking ..

so after a check with the multimeter that proved there was power to the coil and nothing at the king lead so i though Eureka! i know what it is .. Voltage Amplifier!

So i went with jack to get a 2nd hand part £20 so not too bad (so now have a spare) but it turns out i didnt need the part after all as the seal that was supposed to be between the amplifier and the distributor was no longer seald - so a quick re-seal and she's back on the road and raring to go so alls good on the Mini front..

so what quick fix's have you all had on your mini's after the joy that is the british weather

Good fix I somehow bodged my Choke cable to work with the help of someone
