No our car insurance is up for renewal on our main family car (we're insured with 'LV' i.e. Liverpool Victoria) and we'll probably stick with them because we've had quotes from other insurers and their no cheaper.
What bothers me is on our renewal letters it has an 'INCIDENT' recorded from early last year. Apart from the date, there's no other details and so I rang them to ask if it was having any bearing our our policy.
The actual 'INCIDENT' was down to a young driver slamming into the rear of our MPV, whilst my wife was stopped in a queue at a roundabout. We notified our insurers just in case, but the matter was sorted without any claims, because the youngster and his father (who wasn't present during the crash) were decent enough and paid for the repairs to our car in cash.
Anyway I got told that it probably wan't having any bearing on our policy because they had it on record that the 3rd party admitted they were to blame and the matter was sorted without any insurance claims being made.
But if it doesn't have any bearing, then why is it recorded on our renewal forms? I just don't trust them, I was only told this by a call centre operator and so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
