hey guys im runnin my mini without a heater i did this the weekend so i could put my headunit underneeth the switches looks great but, connected up the hoese with a join....
1 my windows steam up pritty quick
2 theres a big draft from the big fat hole on the right hand side where the big tube thiny was for air inflow i think ......
how can i prevent such a draft when drivin? is there a possibal way?
and is there any ways of prevent window steam mist what ever you want to call it? or am i just going to suffer hahaha my old man was moaning because he thinks the moisture will slowly rust the car inside is this true?

without anyway for the air to get to the demisters, buy yourself something to wipe the screen with, or drive with the drivers window open a tad... or stop breathing..
Regarding the hole, cover it up... you may find a lid of something will do but a few strips of gaffer tape did the trick for me when I ran without a heater

You can by electrical demisters, for about £20 from motor world. I fitted one of these until my new matrix arrived. In fact i still have it as its good to clear my half of the window before the heater gets warm.
I screwed mine to the dash and pointed it towards the windscreen. They come with a cigarette lighter attachment, but i cut mine off and ran it to the fuse box. They are only really good for just about one half of the windscreen and comprise of a little fan (like a computer one) and a heater element. They say they draw 200 Watts which is about 16 Amps so prepare for your electrical system to take a beating.
