OK,

so im totally new to this forum - 1st post.

1st, hello all.

2nd, Does my cooper s stereo support bluetooth? It has a little icon in the display (unlit) with a picture of a phone, 2nd, thr steering wheel has the button for calls etc.

I dont know what make the stereo is - Its black, CD player, looks standard and has nothing fancy. Speakers are upgraded to the factory fit harman kardon though if that changes anything.

If it does support bluetooth, how can i activate/work it.

Help is much appreciated guys and girls

i'd pull the head unit out, look for a model number and search the manufacturer site or internet for a manual/spec. There's a telephone icon on my Alpine HU, but in the manual it's refers to a 'phonebook' ? I haven't looked into it as it doesn't interest me. It may well be a 'telephone mute' icon (some HU's have a 'telephone mute' cable on the rear)

Unless it's quite modern HU i doubt it'll be Bluetooth (plus, it should have the proper Bluetooth icon...which isn't a telephone)

Welcome to TMF. As far as I can work out Bluetooth is optional, and it may help to know what year your MINI is and what model your phone is - some phones have compatability problems.
