Hi. This is totally off beat but...... I'm just setting up my new business (bespoke sales training courses for small to medium sized companies) and plan to market it via bulk emailling companys in a 100 mile radius of Northampton. Okay so far, the website is built and stationary sorted. Emailling sounds easy.....not so! I'm as technically minded as Captain Caveman (yes, I am that old!). So, what I'm asking is, is there ANYONE amongst you good people who can advise my how to bulk email (not spam) 5,000 to 10,000 emails per week? I'm happy to pay if someone can set this up for me.

Is your website going to incorporate an online shop at any point? If the answer's yes, then I have a program that can do it for you...

Hi. Thanks for the response. Initially no it won't because what I'm "selling" is training. I'll be going into a clients premises and training their sales force face to face. I did it for years with a company. My current business (construction related) is looking like it's going down after 18 great years (thanks Mr Brown!!) so I need to get back to what I used to do. I've bought a couple of email lists with over 600,000 business email addresses so want blast marketing emails out to them.
Cheers.......Dave

Are sure sure email marketing actually works anymore though?
In these days of spam, spam & more spam I don't know of any businesses who don't just dump anything they are not expecting without even opening it.

Try making contacts - what about linkedin.com ? Join as many group discussions as you can.
http://uk.linkedin.c...ovementprojects 119 contacts ? Most of my contacts have 80-150 contacts. That says to me that I'd have a minium of 5K contacts to go at.

another thing to think about if you havent already is your internet providor. due to spamming laws your providor could give you a fine for usage and slapped wrist for spamming.
i once downloaded a 10k list and tried to send in bulk using email settings from a website i ran and got banned from the server (oops) as i didnt know i could only send something like a couple hundred per hour.... seems like they werent impressed with tryin to send thousands within minutes

bulk email (not spam) 5,000 to 10,000 emails per week?
Why don't you think that's spam? It clealrly is - spam is just email sent advertising something that people have not asked for.

spam is spam. on the other hand, would be nice not to read how someones uncle has died in another country and someone needs your bank details to transfer lots of money to. weird how so many 3rd world countries seem to have lots of millionares who die on a daily basis.
anyway, heres how wikipedia define spam

I would actually suggest good old fashioned post.
much more personal than a bulk email its tangible, it will likely hang around the desk for a while etc.
More costly though.
Addresses can be found via business registers, and you can then pin point your audience by sectors, size and start-up date.
