im just wondering if anyone who has cobra classic or similar style seats can tell me if they are able to use a baby car seat properly on them, the seat we have is a maxi cosi cabriofix. my car only has standard seats at the moment so dont wont to buy the diff seats and find they are no use to me. ill be keeping with 3 point inertia belts so i no that part will be ok.

I have to say I wouldn't do it. I've taken a Cobra Classic apart and I know what they are made of. There's no point fitting a baby seat that complies with all the regulations in the world into a seat that wouldn't pass a test as a bar stool. I'm going to be having a baby in July and if I still had my old Cobra Classics they'd be going. There is no structure to them. Having said that, there is little structure to an older Mini's standard seat but they are still more substantial than a Cobra Classic.

Probably all mini seats would perform very poorly in a proper crash test.

We had this issue.....we bought a Britax Prince that goes in the rear for my daughter. There's not many seats that go in with just a lap belt these days but this one works!
That only works if your tot is old enough....its a group 1 seat so suitable from 9 months - 4 years ish.
Hope that helps.

3 Point Inertia Seatbelts will make fiddle a doddle.
Here's mine with Evie's (our 16 month old baby girl) baby seat in the back (not that you can see it though: -
