Tax Exempt?

I need to know what the criteria is for a car qualifying as being Tax Exempt. Anyone know?

It's 1st Jan 1973.if the vehicle was manufactured (not registered) before 1973 ( i think it is the 1st of april 1973) then it is tax exept
My car was registered in Feb 1973 so I missed out..
Although my other clubbie is 1971.. all the more reason to get it on the road :grin:

It isn't actually the date of first registration, its the date of manufacture.My car was registered in Feb 1973 so I missed out..
Sam, your car may well have been manufactured before December 31st 1972, in which case it will qualify for tax exemption. The best thing to do is contact Heritage and give them your VIN number, they should be able to tell you when it rolled off the production line.
