Hi everyone,

1973 Austin Mini 1000.

Can someone please tell me the ball bearing size used in the outer CV joints?

Way back in the UK, it was common to strip, inspect, renew balls and re-pack. Used to get a few thousand miles or a few months extra.

"Onslow's" joints started the dreaded knock on turns today, I just do not have the $300+ to buy new joints right now. If I can do a re-fresh and get 2 months about 800 miles, then I will be able to afford new CV's and pot joints.

Anyone know the ball size (CV) ??

Thanks Ric
