British open classic 1993

Hi guys, humm bit of a crappy problem, been doing my flipfront and lost track of some of the wiring

before i cut my gfs loom up to see where hers goes can anyone tell me what wires are for lights and what are for indicators

headlights

1. iv got a fat blue with white
2. skinny blue with white stripe
3. 3 red wires with white stripes that join into one
4. blueish greenish with red stripe
5 .black which is earth (the only 1 i know)

so iv grabbed my headlight connector and can eliminate 1,4,5 not sure about the others

indicators

2 xblack wire (earth)
green wire

what else for indicators

any help would be great as its setting me back :D

It's all in the Haynes and has all been said many times on here. I can tell you what the actual colour codes are but some of the wires you have described you may be mistaken about as the colours don't exist. Read the list, then compare it to what you have and see how it matches because some of what you think you can see is just discolouration or dirt.

Blue/white - main beam.
Blue/red - dipped beam.

Green/red - right indicator.
Green/white - left indicator.

Black - earth.

Red is for side lights. Are you sure you have 3 red/white wires? On a car of that age there should be a split sidelight circuit I believe, with red/white on the right of the car and red/black on the left.

Generally speaking, if they are the same colour code you group them together. Although that doesn't apply at certain fuses.
