
Boot Lid Just Not Lining Up Properly.

i have also made the holes bigger in the boot lid, to try to line it up better.
does line up a little better now but because it not right its leacking water .
any hints.

not sure if u can see properly from the pictures, but the left hand side does not side flush to the body.
the seal i'm using id the one with a lip.
not the type that just goes on to the metal.
my mini is a 1982 mini mayfair.
i just can;t seem to line it up properly.

In fact, yours sits better than mine..
Was the boot seal a genuine one? Because I bought a (late-type) non-gen seal from Southern Mini Days last year which is hopeless. May try a genuine one.

no matter really how good the seal is if the boot doesn't line up to it then it won;t seal.
but the seal was from mini sport wasn;t a cheap one really.

if i attached tha to the boot lid, with the original seal then it should stop the water coming in.
