can anyone suggest an easy way to remove the checkers from my roof without sanding them off. i tried sanding but you get so much glue left over if will be a pain for paint prep

Gently apply hot air from a hot air gun / hairdryer onto the decal, this should then enable you to peel off the decal. It'll definately be easier than sanding them off

the you will end up with sticky marks
a bit of white spirit will remove this and not damage the paint
