I am using it to replace my mg metro engine while its out to have gearbox repaired ,and i dont want to alter the wiring for points dizzy ,the mg engine has electronic dizzy and i would like to know if the electronic dizzy will fit into the 1000 block and engage in the drive that runs from the cam ?
Also the clutch plate is fairly worn and judging by the amount of gunge and oil inside the clutch housing the seal has gone and contaminated the friction surfaces , i have a good clutch plate from the mg engine and want to know if i can fit the clutch plate in the 1000 as i am on a tight budget ?
Last question is
the mg engine has no by pass hose between water pump and head and yet the 1000 engine does ,if i plumb the 1000 engine is as the mg was will the cooling still work as it should ?Thanks
