Always fill the filter before fitting - otherwise the bearings in the engine will be starved of oil whilst the pump fills it later.

well I had a bit of a sesh on minispares (gulps) its not cheap, especially on a student budget. £60.23 bought me

22A271 - GROMMET REMOTE HOUSING large grommet 1 £3.90
RC40FK - RC40 EXHAUST FITTING KIT 1 £6.50
GFK1126 - SPRING WASHER 3/8X11/16 (500) 4 £0.11
22A285 - REMOTE CONTROL EXTENSION 1/2 MOON PLUG 1 £3.00
CMZ407 - SCREW BRAKE DRUM AND MINI STD/DUPLEX FRONT PLATE 4 £0.21
21A745 - REMOTE HOUSING BRACKET 1 £11.50 £11.50
PF101A - FOAM TYPE PANCAKE 1.25 FILTER 2 £8.79 £17.58

hopefully I can make some inset in to the car with these bits. the problem with the engine stabiliser is not solved...i took one of the auto bars down, being optimistic, yet it was even longer, Im considering gettin an adjustable bar, but i dont like to have things bodged...anybody got any ideas? cheers

well the parts came today! really doesnt seem alot for the 60.23 i payed haha, oh well thats minispares!
tonight i fitted the calipers with the spring washers
half fitted my hand brake, however I have found the backplates are the wrong way up :D more problems
the rc fitting kit has come but im going to wait till i can use the ramp, at the same time the remote mount will go on and the grommet at the rear of the gearbox! - Im going to need some fixings for the air filters, it just feels like every corner i turn more problems haha.

one question, when fitting my brakes up should i use soem of that white plumbers tape on any fixings that may come into contact with the brake fluid??

peace!!

well I have been busy over the last few days,

I have recently painted out the dash, so it doesnt look so well rusty, I have also made the indicator work briefly, before wrecking the flasher unit ahah
the air filters are now in place and the oil filter is full of oil and on, just got to buy some oil.
I have found the wonders of auto sol! i just need to get the camera charged to show you all, but i have been messing with photoshop in a dream world of unlimtied resprays!
