i need some sort of idea how much i can sell my engine and gearbox for,

its a 1275 spi engine, bored out 0.060" to 1330
ae hepolite pistons, dished standard compression
kent 276 cam, piper cams vernier duplex timing kit
polished, ported 12g940 big valve head, 10.5:1 compression ratio
braided oil feed hose
mg metro hif44 and manifold
bigbore lcb.

was rebuilt about 5,000 miles ago, when i rebuilt it, it had all new main, bigend, camshaft bearings, new followers, new oil pump, new clutch, new water pump, and all new gaskets, and the crankshaft and flywheel were balanced

the only downside is i dont have any reciepts for anywork, but would be willing to take the head off, timing chain cover etc off, this cost me around £1500 to build, including buying the 1275 engine, its been on the rollers and produced just over 80bhp, always made my face light up with amusement when i floored it, lol

i just want to get a rough idea of how much its worth, many thanks, sam

i paid 250 for the engine and gearbox used and standard !!

Seriously I wouldn't expect more then 500.

It's probably worth more to you than it is to someone else.

Engines are going for anything from £250 up past the £400 mark... Depending on SPI/MPI/Standard/Modified etc.

put it on ebay and put a reserve of what youd want to keep it at

Dont forget to add 'RARE', and any combination of Cooper/GT/Race/Rally/Fast Road/10000000hp you choose!
