After having my car up for sale, i've now been given a austin 1300gt engine with 200 miles on from new! So i've got big plans for it now and i've decided to keep it. I've got a big valve stage 4 head, 1:5:1 roller rockers, a 186 duration kent cam and a set of twin hs2 carbs. Plan to fit a subtle side exit 2 inch stainless steel exhaust. I'm going to lighten the flywheel and hopefully the crankshaft and rods if i can find a company who can do it, and fairly cheaply (help with this??).

Also plans to fit group 2 rally arches, get a set of cooper s steels, fit my sump guard and my spotlights again shown in my signature.
And ask roofless to make me some custom rally style body graphics.
Interior plans, flocked dash top and rail, carbon dash and sparco rev seats and sparco suede wheel.
Also plan to polybush the entire car and fit minisport 4 pot calipers and negative camber arms and rear brackets.

I'm excited now to get started with all this, i've got mini fever again :)

Here she is as she stands now

does anyone know about any modifications i need to do to the diff of the engine? got the final drive ratios for it?
Need to know if modifications are needed.

thanks in advance, hope you like my plans  and can maybe help me with my questions.

Not sure about the tech stuff, but glad you're keeping the car. Very nice.

I think it is ace as it sits! But your plans sound good too! Good luck and glad to hear you are keeping it....I got a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell Mini parts! :)

thanks :)

I think i'd miss it too much if i sold it, especially in the warm months.
there's no better car in the summer than a mini IMO. and i really can't wait to get my new engine built.
