right mini friends, here's one for you. on strpping my A series 1275 engine to check it over and rebuild i've found a number stamped in the side of the block at the back of the water pump, it's stamped P438.

any ideas what it means, i hace also found it has a cooper s head, belt drive with vernier came gear and a kent 256 cam, i bought it not knowing of these mods as the seller just said it was an old 1275 engine condition unknown.
just curious who would stamp these numbers and what they mean.

unlikely to mean anything useful, I assume the block has been drilled for 11 studs if it has a cooper head ?
