hi all, ive just bought this to run my sub with http://www.dynamicso...ier-p-2277.html , my subs rated 600w max, and it says i can "bridge" it to run 500w rms to the sub, i dont know a great deal about stuff like this, so what is bridging and how do i do it, also how do i wire it all up????? i plan to do it all tommorow, so just want some sort of idea as to what to do, many thanks, sam

Ok, doing this is a lot more simple than all the bumf you get makes it out to be. Heres a simplified step by step guide:
Firstly, disconnect the battery!!
Next, place the amp wherever you want it and secure it.
You will need to run a wire from the earth input on the amp to a grounding point on the car. Remove any paint from wherever you are putting it so you get a good connection.
You will need to run another wire called the remote and splice it (connect it) into another remote. This is the wire which will determine when the amp comes on and is not just on permanently, running your battery out in no time. Mine is connected to the remote wire on the back of my headunit.
Connect good quality speaker cable from the speaker output on the amp to the sub. To run the full 500w RMS bridged is very simple. Just connect the positive wire from one output terminal to the positive on the sub and the oppositve negative output on the amp to the sub. Thats all bridging is.
Next run an RCA cable from your headunit to the amp and plug it in.
Lastly, you will need one wire to run from the positive on the batttery to the constant live input on the amp. Make sure you put the fuse within 10 inches i think from the battery.
Reconnect the battery.
Before you turn everything on, make sure the gain on your amp is right down. Turn everything on and then set up the amp to how you want the sub to sound/perform.
That should be it. if iv said anthing wrong, im sure somebody will correct me. Happy listeinng and good luck matey.

If you are new to installing amps, bite the bullet and buy an 'Amp Wiring Kit' rated for your amp etc. It will come with all the gubbins needed. I'm afraid 'any old wire' will not do! Tell the shop what size of amp you're using and they should give you the right kit.
This will save the agro of looking for odds & ends, fuse popping and possibly a car fire.

Excellent advice from pbrain. I kind of took it for granted that you would have a wiring kit already. Do NOT just use any spare wire. You need specific guages for the ground and live wires.
