My car came with a minisport stage 2 1400 conversion and I was wondering what cam I have. On the site it is listed as being a CA4(544) which I think could be any of the ones minisport do. It is very lumpy on tick over at about 1000 revs (kind of chugs) and it seems to come on cam at about 3000 revs and will rev quite to about 7000 seems like it might have more but I don't like to rev her that high.
also with minimal soundproofing it sounds like the world is ending at such high revs.
It seems to be similar to a kent 286?

Yer its the CA4 camshaft,
CA4 Minisport
So,
Duration: 288/282
Lift mm: 7.86 7.86
Lift Inches: 0.309 0.309
Power Band: 2500 - 6500
Lap: 73

ok thanks, do you know if 1.5 rockers would be worthwhile? As i know that the kent 286 was designed with the use of them in mind.
