Hi all,

I'm ready to start my MG Metro 1293 for the first time, however, I am unsure which module pins to use.

Which pin is to be + and which - earthed? (wires coming from the coil)

PS. Anything to do/check/tips/tricks before & when I start up?

Cheers,

Tom

DO NOT EARTH EITHER OF THEM.

The earth in the system is through the dizzy body, as it always is in the ignition. The connections at the module are power and coil earth, not an actual earth. If you earth either of them and power the other you will fry it so don't experiment with that. I'm afraid I can't rememebr which is which off the top of my head though.

I assume you know that you need to be using the right coil and a 12v supply with this system, not a ballasted ignition.

Hi Dan,

Coil Positive and Coil Negative is what I have done (as seen in the photo). I just need to know where to connect them.

Thanks,
Tom
