Hi, I'd like to have a basic parcel shelf dash, nothing fancy just a vinyl backing and lining but all i can find online is the flat fronted glove box ones. Does anyone know if you can buy a kit to create the one i'm after? cheers.

Is that not exactly what a standard dashboard is? What have you got at the moment?

ok, so that's the standard one? any ideas where i could pick one up because i can't seem to find it anywhere. The previous owner put a silver flat fronted one on, looks terrible.

This type of dash isn't a single piece plastic moulding, there's not a lot to it really. You have to decide whether you want a top dash rail with it or not. The backing is just a couple of standard trim panels that push in against the bulkhead, they vary depending on what type of gauges you want to have. The shelf is just another trim board that pushes into place. Since these parts are standard, all the Mini Specialists have them. Trim specialists such as Retro Re-trims above or Newton Commercial will have everything you need, except maybe a padded crash rail if you want one.

nah, Newton just do the lining for the shelf, not the actual shelf or the vinyl backing. Fingers crossed for retroretrims.

The shelf is structural part of the bodywork - your car wont be missing it - all you need is the liners.
