The shelf is structural part of the bodywork - your car wont be missing it - all you need is the liners.

really? i'm learning as i go here. In that case, it looks like retroretrims have the linings i need, don't suppose anyone has a number for them? can't seem to find one on the site.

Newton have them too,

Dash liners for cars with offset speedo
Dash liners for cars with single central speedo.
Stiffener for under soft type shelf liner.
Late, soft type shelf liner

There are many other options too depending on exactly what other equipment is fitted to your car and what material you want it all to be made from. It all comes in a range of colours. These are standard parts, all the Mini specialists have them. If you don't want a large moulded crash panel at the top of the dash you can just cover the top bulkhead rail with vinyl as was done on some models, or you can leave it body colour. There are lots of options.

Retro Retrims is run by one of our members, you can contact him through here by PM.
