Old Mk Subframe With New Exhaust?

ive got a 1994 mini cooper. ive fitted a new rear sub frame but its the older style & it does not have the hooks to hold the exhaust.

what do i need to do to attach the exhaust :)

the older style exhaust clamps :)

they look like a rubber cotton real that you then hang a u bolt off

:) theres nothing to attach them to on the subframe. How do i attach hangers :) or can i get away without welding?

the cotton reals bolt to the back of the subframe and a big rubber block to the front

you might have to drill a hole or 2 :)

Get yourself one of these. and one of these. and you can use the original rubber hangers,

thank you both. i will weld them on as the subframe is fitted now & is probably easier to weld it on rather than take the subframe off again :)

The ones I linked to bolt on. Minispares do sell the weld on ones but the bolt on ones are a lot simpler to fit!

No, the front one bolts into captive nuts, the holes are already in the subframe to bolt the rear one on. northwestminis_uk do a pair of the bolt on brackets around £24 next day delivered. You can buy weld on ones, or even cut off and re-use your old ones, but your nice shiny, painted, rustproofed finish on that new subframe will suffer.
