Just a quick question. I'm making hopefully my last minispares order of parts to complete the install of my new engine. I'm thinking while i'm at it, i'll try and make the gear change abit better. I've got a KAD quickshift fitted which has helped a huge amount but the gearstick still feels abit sloppy. The whole rod change unit doesn't feel as solid as it could, so i'm thinking about changing the bushes on the unit while i've got the roll pins out and the selector disconnected.
Looking on minispares theres 2 bushes that come up when i search and they're pretty pricey for what they are.
Theres this one, which is the expencive one: Link.
Then theres these: Link.
I've not got the hanyes or the car to hand to have a look at, so does anybody know how many of each or if i actually need both?
If it turns out i need 2 of each i'll probably leave it because its probably more money than its worth.
So does anybody know?
Thanks

you dnt really need the bushes to be honest the main reason for the sloppyness across the gate is the worn rod usually.. best thing to do ive found is if you turn the selector upside down and remove the plate on the bottom and knock out the rollpin that hold the long rod to the selector section remove the rod from the housing and remove the collar that connects to your gearbox end... turn the rod round 180 degrees and put the collar back on the new end. do the same with the small rod in the back of the selector (the one that comes from the back of the cup section. but before you reasemble it all just check the back where that rod wld go through the casting (where the bushes wld go) to make sure its a nice snug fit in there.
if sumones not already done this then 9/10 it will give you a better snugness across the gate without having to reem the nasty bushes out from minispares.lol
regrease with litium grease and reasemble
