So I'm getting the engine rebuilt to Stage 3 on my MPi Mini. It's done 60k miles and is 10 years old.

So, I'm looking at sorting the suspension next, can anybody recommend any good upgrades? I like the idea of a bit of lowering, but not too much. There seems to be so many options available it's hard to know where to start.

by the way - the car will be use on the road, country lanes and some long distance work.

Im doing the same thing,

Im going for kyb gas-adjust shocks as they seem to be pretty good from what I have read, but as far as the geometry set-up goes Id love to know what other people advise as far as camber/tracking go.

Like you mentioned, there are so many options/kits to choose from so consider this a free bump

put new rubber cones on
hilo and adjustable dampers

or could go with the minitastic spring conversion kit which replaces the rubber cone with a spring.

there are other choices just depends what you want to spend and how you want your suspension to be

I have the above, Mini-Tastic spring fast road kit, lowered KYB's (8 way setting), hi - los, adjustable bottom arms and tie rods, oh and longer track rod ends. Problem is, now I have fitted it all, I have no idea how to set it all up!!! Am also carried out 12" to 10" wheel "upgrade" too. Car is sitting in my garage like some odd monster truck! Anyone know any places I can take it to for suspension setup and tuning?

i put a new set of rubber cones on minisport hi-los new nuckles, spaxs shocks, and adjustable tie rods. it handles like its on rails. just need some new tyres now

I'll have to arrange to come over and see you again then having just rebuilt the suspension (Minitatsic Fast Road + Spax Gas) and reconned radius arms etc. I think it could do with a check? Will PM you for convenient date?
