Hi, unfortunately I may have to sell my 1996 grey mini equinox and trying to work out how much it should sell for. I have looked around and values seem to vary quite a bit.
The car is a 1996, with a genuine 15k miles on the clock. I have all the history, Mots and original purchase invoice. It is in very good condition and will all the original trim - no modifications.
Any advice to price, or best place to sell, would be much appreciated. If you need any further info please let me know

thanks

nice car but the marmite interior puts a few people off.

price will depend upon how much rust there is.

Hi there is no rust just a very tiny mark at the bottom of a door which has a very slight bubble

I think It should value Pretty well.

1. Its an LE. Only 750 Equinox's were made
2. Its an LE in a rare colour. THere are more Amaranth Purple Equinoxs about than platinum silver and charcoal Grey.
3. Low milage
4. Its standard
5. Its in a very good condition.

I bought my Equinox over 4 years ago for £2700. It had been modified, It had rust coming through on the wings and scuttle, The gearbox had no syncro in second which meant i had to replace it a few months later.

15k miles with history and no rot...

I'd say 3-4k private sale (gives a bit of room for a haggle), not quite as desirable as an MPi, but good condition with a long MOT could see it go fairly quickly...

i cant see a private sale happening above £3k

i could see a dealer advertising it £4k but then they have to offer alot more at point of sale.

Will that door skin replaced with the genuine article and sold with dealer facilities £3995 is the price that comes to mind too, private sale "as is" I`d say £2.5K, there are buyers out there at the moment but they are VERY picky and who can blame them, it is still very much a buyers market.

We are finding that as we are able to offer upgrades this is "easing" deals to completion, if that was mine I would stuff a set of polished Ultralites on it, they would lift the car no end.

I would be shocked if it made 2500 right now.

I cant give away a mint jap mini with 36k miles for 3500 (usually sell for £5k ish)

Market is stagnant right now.

Is that rust on the door step?

From my experience a very specialised sale which do not return as much as you expect.

If you need to sell it advertise it at £2500 ono and keep an open mind.

If you dont have any urgency in selling then parade it around the shows with £3500 ono on the screen.

I wouldn't sell a car on eBay, there are too many time wasters and it costs too much. If you want to sell it pit it on here in the classifieds. I'd also put it on car and classics website. It's free to advertise there too.
