I have a Mini Cooper and the drive away locking has recently started to fail - it sometimes work then sometimes it will decide to lock then unlock itself when I reach the 10mph when it normally locks. Once I stop at say traffic lights it will unlock then relock but it's not a consistent problem - this week it has worked fine all week then today it unlocked itself while driving. Any ideas?

it will be possibly one of the actuators playing up in one of the doors as they do on the bmw's , you can get another from your local motor factors / parts dealer and get it installed fairly cheaply .

Also dont go main dealer - it will be very expensive !!!

Cheaply as in possibly a £100+ bill as it can take a couple hours to stri out the doors and replace them , buy classic and its alot cheaper to fix stuff =]

hard to know on new cars , everything is via ECU so best to get it read and see if any faults are found first ,
